Coastal Towing Services Sponsors Ducks Unlimited Banquet

Supporting Our Community

This week, our towing and recovery work looked a little different at Coastal Towing Services. Instead of responding to a call along US-264 or heading out to assist a stranded driver, we spent the day in Wilson, NC supporting the Wilson County Ducks Unlimited banquet dinner. As a Wilson towing company, we take pride in serving our community both on and off the road. The banquet brought local families, businesses, and supporters together to raise funds through raffles and auctions for conservation efforts. We purchased a table at the event and played a hands-on role in helping the evening come together.

Turning Our Equipment Into a Stage

For this year’s banquet, we exhibited our Peterbilt heavy haul tractor and 53 foot flatbed trailer as the main stage for the event. Instead of hauling equipment down the highway, our truck and trailer became the centerpiece of the evening, showcasing raffle price items. Guests gathered around as items were raffled and auctioned off right from our trucks.

Four of us attended and helped coordinate the setup. We positioned the trailer to give the organizers a solid, elevated platform that allowed everyone in attendance to see and hear clearly. It was an all-day event, and we stayed involved from setup through the final announcements.

A Different Kind of Call for a Wilson Towing Company

There was no recovery process, no disabled vehicle, and no cargo to secure. This was not a roadside call or a heavy haul assignment. As a Wilson towing company, most of our days involve dispatching trucks, navigating traffic, and assisting drivers in tough situations. This event gave us the chance to use the same equipment in a completely different setting.

Our Peterbilt heavy haul tractor and flatbed are built for strength and reliability. At this banquet, that strength provided a sturdy stage that supported speakers, auction items, and the flow of the evening. It reminded us that our role as a Wilson towing company extends beyond highways and job sites. We are part of the Wilson, NC community, and our equipment can serve more than one purpose.

We often operate along US-264 and throughout the surrounding areas, helping drivers get back on track. On this occasion, we parked the truck, cleaned it up, and let it take center stage in a new way. Seeing our equipment used to support a nonprofit effort gave us a fresh perspective on the impact we can have locally.
